Clients in the News: Empowering Local Economies

May 27th, 2026

Big Wave Project Founder Jeff Peck was recently featured on CBS News as the recipient of the Bay Area Icon Award, following his 25-year-long effort to create a safe living space for adults with special needs. Inspired by his daughter Elizabeth to create a place where special needs adults can thrive independently, Jeff’s vision is on the heels of completion.

Located in Half Moon Bay, the Big Wave residential facility will do more than offer independent living for 40 adults with special needs; the campus will also offer a supportive community where residents can access continuing education, recreational activities, and job skills training opportunities.
